Physical Education
Bignold’s Physical Education curriculum provides our children with a wide range of skills and opportunities which will enable them to become physically literate and active members of the community. Physical Education should support the social and emotional development of our children and should play a vital role in their character education. Through their skill-based and game-based learning, they will build resilience, confidence and independence. The children will recognise the benefits of being physically active and know how to make appropriate healthy lifestyle choices. Through our range of school sport offers, we will ensure that as many children as possible have the opportunity to represent our school at a sporting fixture, regardless of ability. Our approach to Physical Education is inclusive and we are aiming for all of our children to leave Bignold with a positive view of physical activity.
Our PE subject leads are Mr Emmens (6E teacher) and Miss Wood (2W teacher)
