Library

We love reading at Bignold and we are very proud of our beautiful school library. This allows all children to have access to a wide choice and range of books. Our library has been organised into genres as this allows children to independently choose a book which matches their interest. This organisation allows children to extend their choice of author within a particular genre and experiment with the type of books that they read.

Our extensive non-fiction section allows children to make connections in their learning and select books to further extend this knowlege. This has been re-organised into curriculum subjects to reflect our approach to teaching the curriculum - the knowledge-engaged model.
